Our Campus

Our sprawling campus is located on the south side of Devereux Avenue, in East London. Buildings and sports facilities are set among tall trees and well-kept gardens, while many of the elevated areas enjoy panoramic sea views.

Modern Facilities

The campus has seen significant upgrading in recent years, thanks to exceptional fund-raising and financial structuring by the HEDT (Hudson Education and Development Trust) and our SGB (School Governing Body).

Security

Our grounds are fully fenced with robust palisade fencing, and we employ full-time security guards are employed. We also make use of CCTV monitoring.

Image of Centenary Hall

Completed in 2005 and opened by the then Deputy Principal Mr P Swart, it is utilized for school Assemblies and a variety of other events. A newly-built kitchen enhances its functionality, and it is available for hire.

Image of Gibson Kente Theatre

This is the old School Hall, and it served as the entrance in the days when the school was named Clifton Park High School. The Theatre is used for stage performances and other events. It is available for hire.

This leads off the Main Administrative Block and is utilized by small groups for dinners, meetings, and presentations. It is available for hire.

A roofed pavilion with a breathtaking view of our gardens and sporting fields, this venue accommodates between 60 and 80 people and is used for small social events.

Our new Administration Centre was built in 1993 and adjoins the Mini Hall and the classroom complex. It houses offices for the Headmaster and Administrative Staff.

Williams House was purchased in 1985 from Mr Williams and, following major renovations in 1993, houses our Music Department and Boardroom.

We have 57 classrooms, each equipped with modern technological and educational resources. The latest in whiteboard technology is used throughout the school. Specialized equipment is provided in our Science, Biology, and Computer laboratories.

Hudson Park has its own wireless network, providing internet access for our staff. Every classroom is equipped with a computer, a data projector, and an interactive whiteboard device.

We have 3 hostels, namely Highbury Terrace and Clifton House for girls, and Hampton House for boys. Boarding facilities are available for high school learners only.

School uniform and sports clothing can be purchased on-site at our shop on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. More information can be found on the Clothing Shop tab in the menu above.

A well-stocked Tuck Shop caters to the needs of hungry students or staff members. A varied menu of nourishing meals is served during the week, in addition to normal tuck shop fare.

2 Rugby fields, 2 Hockey fields, and a Soccer field are accommodated on our campus during the winter months. In summer, these same areas are used as Cricket fields.

Hudson Park has 8 Tennis courts and 3 Netball courts.

Our newly built pool, which conforms to international standards, caters for Swimming, Water Polo, and Underwater Hockey. Adjacent to the pool is our three-storey High Performance Centre which houses change rooms and toilets, a first-aid room, a Pilates room, a well-equipped gymnasium, and the Eagle's View Pavillion.

With sponsorship by Cricket South Africa, a set of 6 practice turf pitches for Cricket has been built on campus to give our young cricketers the experience of playing on top-class facilities. This brings our total number of nets to 14.

This is a one of the sports nodes on our campus, and it has Tennis courts, Cricket nets, and a mini astroturf for Hockey. It is serviced by a function room and kitchen which lead out onto a large wooden deck. Change rooms are housed under the deck.
