All pupils are encouraged to participate in at least one of our many cultural activities. Each year we celebrate our cultural diversity and the talents of our learners in a week of break-time and Assembly performances.

Music

Mr Wong heads the Music Department which is renowned for the achievement of its soloists, bands, ensembles, and choirs. Tuition on a wide range of instruments is available, and learners participate regularly in external music examinations and competitions. Groups such as the Concert Band, the Jazz Band, the Pop Band, the Choir, and the Guitar Club are popular with both learners and audiences.

Drama

Topics are often chosen for their social relevance, as seen in our 2015 productions LADY KENNAWAY VANISHES and SHE. Under the direction of Mr Perold, these plays achieved great success, but they also opened the eyes of audiences to the suffering of marginalized members of society. SHE was the winner in the Eastern Cape Inter-School Drama competition.
