Relevance

Students really enjoy the relevance of EMS, because it lets them apply what is learnt to their own lives, and also observe the way various principles and models operate in the larger arena of the business world. This application of theory to real life and to the global scene leads many learners to develop a keen interest in current affairs.

EMS concerns the efficient and effective use of resources in order to satisfy people's needs and wants. It combines elements of Business Studies and Accounting and provides an excellent grounding for learners who intend to take either of these subjects in the FET phase.

Entrepreneurship

EMS gives learners an understanding of how business operates, and it equips them with practical, real-life skills for personal development, community development, and sustainable economic growth. These skills are used every day, in every single business in the world. For this reason, aspiring entrepreneurs and business leaders may wish to consider EMS as a subject choice.

Skills

The marketing, advertising, and entrepreneurship assignments have learners exercising their creativity and learning to think out of the box. Their work calls for them to appraise critically, speculate, make connections, make informed choices, identify key issues, and look at cause and effect.
